Welcome to The "Black Professional Traveler Schedule". We are in the process of putting together the largest lineup of island getaways, black conventions, jazz festivals, award shows, island getaways and super events for black professionals which will occur all throughout 2007. There are over 50 events schedule for this year. Unless otherwise notated all events will carry a minimum of 5,000 to over 1,000,000 participants. JANUARY EVENTS FOR 2007BARBADOS JAZZ FESTIVAL Date: January 08 - 14, 2007 Place: Barbados Comments: There will be cool jazz on warm Caribbean shores when Barbados hosts the thirteenth annual Barbados Jazz Festival from January 8-14, 2007. The Barbados Jazz Festival, which celebrates the best in international and local jazz talent, has become a major annual Caribbean event. Venues typically include the modern Sir Garfield Sobers Sports Complex, historic Sunbury Plantation House, and the popular open air venue, Farley Hill National Park. AIR JAMAICA BLUES AND JAZZ FESTIVAL Date: January 25 - 27, 2007 Place: Montego Bay, Jamaica Comments: The Air Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival. 2007 will mark the 10th year anniversary for this prestigious festival. Over the years, the festival has grown from small audiences of 3000 to its largest audience ever in 2006, which totaled over 40,000 for the period of the festival.
